Integrated Database System
The Integrated Database System (IDS) is an online repository of FSNAU’s Main Market and Somali Livelihood Indicator Monitoring System (SLIMS) data. It provides a web-based user interface for data query; data import and export facilities from and into MS Excel, graphing, spreadsheet management and edit functions. The Data Exploration Tool comprises multiple data filters including indicators (items/ variables), date of data collection and geographic references (Markets/SLIMS Nodes, District and Region, currency, and field analyst). It also allows for specificity and choice of data aggregation functions including average, maximum, minimum, standard deviation, sum etc. The IDS is under continuous improvement and as the project moves toward a more integrated analysis approach, all FSNAU primary datasets like the Crop, Livestock, Urban, IDP and other partner data such as Somaliland Chamber of Commerce, UNDP Population, WFP food aid etc will all be included and hosted in the IDS.
